Asylum Seeker Housing Appeal

Help us to keep refugee families safe and housed

The people that we support have fled their homes in their country that has experienced war, persecution and genocide.

Many of them do not know the language and do not have work rights. In the midst of the current housing crisis, they cannot secure housing or afford basic necessities like food, utilities, and transportation.

Can you help us raise much-needed funds for families in need of safe housing?

Dear supporter,

The people we support have fled their homes in a country that has experienced war, persecution, and genocide.

Many of them do not know the language and do not have work rights. In the midst of the current housing crisis, they cannot secure housing or afford basic necessities like food, utilities, and transportation.

For those seeking new lives, safe and stable accommodation is crucial to their well-being, mental health, and chance to succeed. Many have families to feed and need to provide their children with access to education. Without the means to secure safe accommodation, even meeting basic needs can seem insurmountable.

“Homelessness becomes an ongoing trauma which inhibits the healing journey.” – QPASTT counsellor

This is the reality for more than 300 asylum seekers that the Asylum Seeker and Refugee Assistance (ASRA) Program is currently supporting. But with the cost of living rising so rapidly, we cannot continue to provide the support these highly vulnerable people so desperately need.

We need your help

Right now, the ASRA Program’s resources are completely overstretched to support over 300 asylum seekers into secure housing. Our crisis accommodation is a crucial housing option for the asylum seekers, and we are unable to cover the costs required to maintain this vital housing service.

We are in desperate need of funds to enable us to provide adequate support to over 300 asylum seekers we are currently working with. We are calling for donations from our community members so that we can achieve this goal. Quite simply, we cannot do this without you.

Empower asylum seekers

Please donate so that the ASRA program can continue to not only assist these highly vulnerable asylum seekers into safe housing, but also provide them with the essential supports they need to live with dignity.

By donating to our housing initiative, you are empowering asylum seekers to take control of their lives and build a better future for themselves and their families. Your donation is more than just a gift; it’s a symbol of solidarity and commitment to a better future.

No donation is too small. Every dollar you give will go towards providing refugees with the housing and support they need to rebuild their lives.

100% of donations will go towards the ASRA program and crisis accommodation, and all donations are tax deductible.

These asylum seekers have come to Australia to seek safety and security. Donate now to help them build a better future.
